In the swamps of 19th century Florida, the son of a Native American Seminole and a free slave must confront his past demons to lead his people in a fight for freedom that sparks the largest slave rebellion in United States history.

Unconquered is a historical action/drama feature film adapted to a short proof of concept film inspired by the incredible true story of John Horse and the Seminoles of Florida and their resistance to southern slave owners and the armies of President Andrew Jackson. The events of the story take between 1835-1838 in the time leading up to the Second Seminole War, the the war itself, and culminating with the mass forced emigration of hundreds of the Black Seminoles and Seminole Indian nation to the so-called Indian Territory in modern day Oklahoma. During that time the allied Black and Seminole force led by John Horse, Osceola, and others waged a guerilla war that sparked the largest slave rebellion in U.S. history and the only one to result in slave participants actually obtaining their freedom. John Horse and Osceola’s intimate knowledge of the land allowed them to outmaneuver the nation’s top military minds time and time again, successfully turning what was thought to be a simple Indian removal to the longest, bloodiest, and most expensive American conflict before the Civil War.
